I made a lot of trips to teach doctors and nurses in the Terai during 2014 -2015. I was there when the earthquake hit Kathmandu.
Today, there are demonstrations in many Terai cities; police posts have been torched; and the government has deployed the Army, to enforce a 24-hour curfew. They are using tear gas and live bullets.
