There is no way you are getting to that stage, sir!
MSNBC had their cameras trained on the jailhouse door for much of the day Kim Davis was set to be released. Yes, they captured the Rowan County clerk leaving jail, but they also captured a minute of video that will most certainly make you laugh. Ted Cruz made his way to Kentucky to be a part of the incredibly weird Davis release rally and apparently Mike Huckabee didn't take kindly to Ted Cruz trying to steal his publicity stunt—so he had an aide physically block Cruz out. And block he did.
WATCH as Ted Cruz tries time and time again to get around the staffer, looking more frustrated by the second:
The New York Times confirmed it was a Huckabee staffer:
Of the two presidential contenders who attended the rally, it was Mr. Huckabee, making his second White House run, who grabbed the political spotlight. Before Ms. Davis appeared, Mr. Huckabee and Mr. Staver took the stage to tell the crowd, in unison, “Kim Davis is free.”
When Mr. Cruz, who met with Ms. Davis, exited the Carter County Detention Center, a throng of journalists beckoned him toward their microphones, but an aide to Mr. Huckabee blocked the path of the senator, who appeared incredulous.
