A guest post by Air Halperin at WUWT announced the launch of a search engine that only returns results from the deniersphere, effectively solidifying the bubble that enables deniers to filter out and avoid exposure to the scary truths about climate change.
WUWT provides the bulk of the information for this alternate-reality search engine, with Cato, Heritage, Heartland and others filling in the gaps. Although the search engine is not particularly useful if you're looking to find real information, it is incredibly helpful if you're interested to learn how deniers treat climate issues. In effect, it provides a repository for oppositional research, cutting out all the legitimate sources and only providing the nonsense attacks.
Even if you were to stumble upon the engine, it would be easy enough to discern its bias, as the hosting page acronym "defyccc" stands for "defy climate change cult." According to the site's about page, the author currently lives in the US but was born and raised in the Soviet Union, providing more evidence in support of the theory that deniers are motivated by an anti-communist obsession left over from the Cold War.
The American ideal of freedom of thought obviously isn't applied in this case, where only the approved (denier) party line is presented. The search page effectively enables deniers to turn their informal bubble into an official informational Iron Curtain.
