Former Republican presidential front-runner Jeb! Bush has not been making a lot of polling headlines lately, and when he does, it's usually for the wrong reasons.
Like this, from Public Policy Polling, which seems about par for the course: "Donald Trump has a wide lead at 28% with Ben Carson second at 17%. Bush (13%) and Rubio (10%) can only achieve 3rd and 4th place standings" ... until you learn that it's a poll of Bush's home state of Florida.
Yes, Bush is in third place in the state that twice elected him governor. The swing state he was supposed to be able to deliver in the general election. But being in third might not even be the most humiliating news for Bush in this poll:
Only 40% of voters in the state think Bush should keep running, compared to 47% who think he should drop out. And the numbers are similar for Rubio with just 42% believing he should continue on with his campaign to 48% who believe he should end it.
Marco Rubio obviously isn't doing so well either in the state he
currently represents in the Senate, but then again, he wasn't supposed to be the dominant, dynastic front-runner in this race.
