Wars, bombings, death, destruction, and occupation have
plagued Israel and Palestine for decades. After
recent attacks this month, thousands of Arabs and Jews came together to rally for peace on Saturday night.
Here is a AlternativeNews.org YouTube video.
More than 2000 Israeli Jews and Arabs demonstrated Saturday night in Jerusalem.
Protestors marched under the slogan “we will not surrender to despair.”
They called for an end to the occupation and a just Israeli-Palestinian peace.
War will most likely continue while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains in office. A warmonger and war criminal, Netanyahu is responsible for the 2014 slaughter of thousands of defenseless Palestinian civilians in Gaza, including hundreds of innocent children. He is considered by some to be the Dick Cheney of Israel.
Still, many believe peace can eventually be achieved between Israel and Palestine. In 1978, President Jimmy Carter facilitated a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt called the Camp David Accords. The two countries have been at peace with each other for over 30 years. President Carter is very outspoken and has written a book about his desire for peace between Israel and Palestine. The former U.S. President has a straight forward approach as to how thinks peace can be accomplished. Here is one quote from President Carter's book:
Israel will never find peace until it is willing to withdraw from its neighbors' land and to permit the Palestinians to exercise their basic human and political rights. -Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter

U.S. Secretary of State,
John Kerry, is scheduled to
meet with the leaders of Israel and Palestine this coming week. Given Kerry's success in helping to facilitate the Iran Peace Deal, perhaps he can... oh wait, that's right - Netanyahu doesn't like peace. He was against the the
Iran Peace Deal for the same reason he despises President Carter - Netanyahu likes war. When you have so little regard for human life - it's what you do, and he does it well.
Thousands of treaties have been created and maintained by countries who were formerly at war, and who are now allies. The majority of Israelis and Palestinians want peace and the rest of the world wants peace. Saturday night's demonstration to end the conflict is just one of many protests around the world. Peace can come. Peace will come - it must come. The power is within the people.
