Have fun with that, buddy!
The bad news is that the House Republican caucus has gone fully and completely insane. The good news is that they're getting more and more efficient at it, as is evidenced by Rep. Mo Brooks's (R-AL) assertion that if current Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton is elected president House Republicans will be ready and waiting to impeach her on day one.
"And in my judgement, with respect to Hillary Clinton, she will be a unique president if she is elected by the public next November, because the day she's sworn in is the day that she's subject to impeachment because she has committed high crimes and misdemeanors," he said.
The high crimes and misdemeanors he mentions, by the way, is the part where she used her private email address for work. That's the impeachable offense. No worries about whether she's a secret Kenyan Muslim socialist or is ordering the government to secretly stockpile ammunition so that freedom-loving patriots can't get any or is building FEMA camps for the people who caught on to Jade Helm being a plot to take over Texas or any of the rest of it: we're going with "used a private email address for work."
Brooks' office did not return a request for future details about the impeachment plan.
If it's like most days, Brooks's office was busy trying to pry both of Mo Brooks's shoes out of his mouth and there was nobody left to answer the phones.
So there you go. Just a friendly reminder that House Republicans have gone completely, unambiguously and spittle-spittingly insane.
