One less cop with questionable judgement is off the force.
Another police officer with questionable judgement is off the force in California. Senior Officer Aaron Stringer was accused of tickling the corpse of James Ramiro Villegas DeLarosa, an unarmed man who was shot by Bakersfield police after a car chase.
A follower officer reported Stringer's outrageous behavior:
According to the newspaper, Stringer brought his trainee to KMC to view the body after the OIS.
The Californian reported Friday that Stringer allegedly touched Villegas' feet and said "tickle tickle," and told his trainee that he "loves playing with dead bodies."
Three other officers were cleared in the shooting, but the family is moving forward with the civil suit and still trying to get answers as to why an unarmed
DeLarosa was fatally shot:
Mark Geragos, attorney for the DeLarosa family, said in a news release Tuesday that "the secretive removal of one BPD cop, who manipulated and played with the dead body of James DeLarosa, does not solve the structural and institutional problems with this Department, and brings little solace to the DeLarosa family whose unarmed son was shot and killed and still have no answers from BPD."
Bakersfield police are not commenting on whether Officer Stringer resigned or was fired.
