It could have been soooo good.
Donald Trump is super disappointed that Trey Gowdy has made a "big pivot" away from targeting Hillary Clinton following the admission of two House Republicans that the Benghazi committee was actually a partisan witch hunt. Caitlin MacNeal
reports:
"I was really looking forward to the hearings, but then you had a congressman, Republican go against Trey Gowdy and all of the people, as you know. And then you had a whistleblower come out. So that hurt. That was not exactly positive," Trump said in response, referring to the Republicans who said that the committee had political goals.
Trump then suggested that these admissions prompted Gowdy to give up on his focus on Clinton.
"He seemed to be doing a big pivot away from Hillary Clinton," the real estate mogul said. "And I was trying to figure out what that was all about. So you may not be as happy as you think with these hearings."
Whistleblowers (i.e. truth tellers) can really ruin all the fun in Washington. "That was not exactly positive," as Trump said, when two top House Republicans finally said what we had known all along—the GOP has spent more than
$4.5 million of taxpayer funds running a targeted campaign against Hillary Clinton's presidential bid.
