Sweet place and only $5000 a month
According to rental site
Zumper, San Francisco's rents just continue to go up.
High priced cities are getting more expensive; in fact, the top four cities on our list all saw rent increases in the near term. San Francisco widened its gap between NYC, with rent prices increasing 2.5% last month and 3.4% in the trailing quarter. September again marked a new record high for the city, now with a median one bedroom of $3,620 and two bedroom of $5,000. Rents in the city are up 13.1% in the past year.
[bold is me screaming into a paper bag]
These numbers are based on asking price for rentals only. So, that number could and should be lower. How much lower? Not enough much lower. Here's a map from back in May, where you can see how much you need to make an hour to afford 2-bedroom units in America these days. As a renter myself, I'm feeling pretty great right now. Can't wait until I have to move my family into a van.
