As a staunch Republican, I am wobbling on the edge. Thanks to the candidacy of Donald Trump, my eyes have been pierced by the stupidity of the Republican base. The hateful bickering and slobbering over Trump’s every word has become overbearing. It is clear Trump is anything, but what he proclaims, yet conservatives and hardcore Republicans will defend the man, despite all of his fallacies. The shutting down the government stunt was cute, the endless Benghazi chatter was annoying, but Trump is one of a kind. As a southern, life-long Republican, Trump and his illogical supports have driven me to hatred for my once beloved base.
There are numerous Donald Trump problems that irk me to no end. First, I must admit to my own stupidity. Yes, I have listened to several Trump speeches. In fact, in the beginning, I somewhat supported the lunatic candidate. There is a glaring problem, which are present with Trump and his “yuge” speeches. They’re all exactly the same. They begin with a terrible 80’s song, which is made even more unbearable, as Trump struts his way to the podium. And then, the true travesty begins. No real policies are given and no questions are answered. Only radical statements are made and insults are consistently thrown out.
Despite the lunacy of it all, Trump supporters jump on the Internet and digitally high-five one another, while praising the new speech, as Trump’s best to date! While he may lug around a Holy Bible, Trump is no man of God. In fact, he sees himself as the Holy creator. He takes what is not his, steals from the poor and ridicules the defenseless. Was his father a rich man? Yes indeed. Trump might have money, but his soul is poor.
State polling continues to show Donald Trump in the lead. Although many Americans are continuously praising his glory, I am beginning to question his current status in the polls. Trump is being criticized on his views about the illegal immigrants and building the wall to prevent them from making their way to American soil, but is this genuinely the solution?
Whether Donald is right or wrong, it irks me to think that his low IQ voters are continuously supporting these lunacy ideas. It is obvious that Trump is not presidential material, which is why all Democratic voters need to head to the poll to vote against this lunatic.
My mind has been open for quite some time now, but I am still at odds of whether to vote for Hillary, Sanders, or O’Malley. I must say that Americans will be much safer in the hands of a Democratic president, because it seems that republicans can’t even run their own party properly. Although my vote will likely not make a different in my state, which is overrun with idiotic right wingers, I will never vote for a Republican candidate again. I shall stand firm in my belief and will spread my awakening to anyone, who shall listen. Hello, my name is Tony and I am now a Democratic voter.
