Welcome to Saturday Morning Garden Blogging!
So, are you having fun yet with the “new and improved” DK5? It has been a rough and rocky roll-out for the revamped site but fortunately most of the more aggravating and annoying issues with the latest DailyKos reboot have been given top priority on a long list of fixes. Hopefully everyone hangs in there until the repairs are made because a little bit of remodeling debris and reconstruction chaos never hurt anyone; white space-strained eyeballs and mind-numbing migraines excepted, of course! In the meantime, weigh in with your opinions, pro and con, about the latest upgrades and your experiences with them so far. Tips for navigating the retooled site functions are always welcome and greatly appreciated. It may be Saturday but it’s still morning so a bit of crankiness is perfectly acceptable and not unexpected considering the circumstances.
Oh, and you can still post pics and talk about gardening and other fun stuff too, same as always!
Join me below the once iconic orange squiggle for more. The recent makeover did not go well for him so please be gentle...
As far as I know, there are no plans for reconstructive surgery at this time. It’s definitely a radical change for our beloved orange squiggle but like everything else on DK5 we’ll eventually grow accustomed to his new look. Over time we’ll come to appreciate his drastically altered appearance as it slowly becomes less disturbing and increasingly more friendly and familiar.
Now come sit with me on the sofa while we chat. Granted, it’s not exactly my style but at least it’s invitingly plush and comfy not to mention a fantastic shade of orange. And just like you can never have too much wicker you simply cannot go wrong with a sofa the color of a popular fruit. Especially if it has copious amounts of fabulous fringe concealing the plethora of dust bunnies and dog toys quietly lurking underneath. It’s also the same sofa used in the coffeehouse on the set of the sitcom Friends :
Could it be any more orange!
Now for some obligatory garden-related stuff…
We had such a long, hot, and drawn out summer here in Central Texas that the salmon four o’clocks have already reseeded and the new plants are about to begin blooming. Warm temperatures and a half year’s worth of rain in October really helped the seedlings get a jump-start this time around.
