Most people are talking about the gifts to big oil. There are other things of more import to me.
First off the funding for the Land and Water Conservation fund was increased and extended for 3 more years. Up 150 million to a total of 450. Not permanent but I’ll take it.
Cuts to the EPA so folks can pollute more.
No money for forest fires. The forest fires are killing Forest Service’s budget. Money spent on fires is less for forests.
10% increase for BLM to something like 1.2 Billion
Fish and Wildlife a 69 million increase to 1.5 Billion.
Park Service a roughly 10% boost to 2.9 billion.
Riders weren’t much, sage grouse, lead bullets and fishing weights, Payments in Lieu of Taxes for road maintenance etc on public lands.
Read the full thing here www.eenews.net/… I’m just regurgitating and condensing what was important to me.
