“The problem here isn’t that Bernie Sanders is a crazy-pants cuckoo bird,” Stewart said. “It’s that we’ve all become so accustomed to stage-managed, focus-group-driven candidates that authenticity comes across as lunacy.”
Cognitive distances are mental representations of large-scale environmental distances that cannot be perceived from a single vantage point but require movement through the environment for their apprehension.
This primary race is an amazing and ongoing experiment in cognitive dissonance — it seems like Hillary Clinton is the ultimate liberal Democrat and the perfect candidate for president. Yes, it does seem that way. But if one takes the time to move through her environment, one gets a bigger picture of who she really is — a multi-millionaire power player who is all up in the Wall St/Military Industrial Complex game and will never quit playing it. She literally enriched herself by being a politician seeking influence and favors; the Clintons were dead broke after the Lewinsky scandal.
And yet, so many Dems are literally apoplectic at the realization that Hillary Clinton is not the candidate that we really need at this time.
In reality, we now have is an actual progressive candidate for president — a true Lefty. Bernie Sanders is not a sexy candidate. He's blunt and he's PISSED OFF, as we all should be after watching our manufacturing base disappear, taking the middle class along with it… after watching Wall Street tank our economy by gambling with our money, only to be 'bailed out' by Obama and Tim Geithner -- and to know that NOTHING has changed. That anger that Sanders displays is being expressed on our behalf, directed at the wealthiest in the nation who go by the philosophy of socialism for the rich and rugged individualism for the poor...
"but, but.... Hillary!"
