Ah, Texas. You are the gift that keeps on giving.

Karen Fitzgibbons, a 4th grade teacher at Bennett Elementary in Wolforth, Texas wants you to know that she's not a racist.
When she posted a response to the McKinney incident saying "I'm just going to go ahead and say it... the blacks are the ones causing the problems and this 'racial tension'", it wasn't racist.
When she said, "I'm almost to the point of wanting them all segregated on one side of town", it wasn't racist.
When she added, "Maybe the 50s and 60s were really on to something", it wasn't racist.
You see, this wasn't directed at any one person or group according to the 4th grade teacher. Apparently, "the blacks" are just a term of affection in Karen's warped world.
You have to love Texas. A 4th grade teacher openly advocates segregation as a response to another case of "policemen gone wild" and gets to keep her job. So far.
I hate to see anyone lose their job. It's a painful experience for anyone but how in the world does this school district justify allowing an openly racist woman to continue to teach children?
1:01 PM PT: She's gone. Multiple news sources are reporting that Fitzgibbons has been "relieved of her teaching duties". That didn't take long - even Texas has to react to open racism from a teacher. The wording, though, is suspect. Not that she is "no longer employed"; just "relieved of teaching duties".
