I'm not committing yet to setting it up, but if I did: Who and how many would be interested in having a meet-up, say late on a Saturday morning, at some location off exit 32 or 33 on Interstate-4 in Florida? The topic would involve what we could do to fight the gerrymander bias and elect more Dems in the districts from, Seminole to Hillsborough counties.
I think the assumptions are clear, but let me state them: This is the fulcrum if Florida is a swing state. The I-4 corridor is increasingly blue, and was the main victim of the 2012 redistricting by the FL lege, and thus is in the worst position to leave things up to individual counties. I'm in Polk. We have Dem registration, Rep voting trends, drastically Rep district lines, and are the largest population county in the state with no district that has a majority of our voters. I could ramble on (and often do), but will risk this being a short diary to (I hope) make it more effective.
I might not immediately get back to individuals re this, but will. Likely through messages rather than posting.
