You've had your fun trying to form your narrative about Sanders having a "race problem," and attempting to paint him as "tone deaf." When his record on civil rights is unassailable, I get that's all you got, so you attack him, make up lies about him, waiting for a chance to pounce on him. But talismanic recitation does not make it so. If there is a race problem, it's not with Senator Sanders. Maybe some of his supporters could use some evolving on issues of race, but at least they aren't cynically using race to discredit another candidate. That's just nasty.
During his speeches, Sanders has been known to say things like: "Don't let them divide us by race!" Well guess what, we let them do it, and guess who them is? Them is you. Yup, the good old, self-described liberals and progressives here at DailyKos. Let me ask you this: is it liberal or progressive to use #BLM as a weapon with which to pummel a political opponent? No, it's obviously not, yet you persist, as if you don't know what you're doing, or pretending not to know. It's pretty disgusting and if I may say so, quite beneath you. I find it especially galling that white people are using the issue of race to discredit Sanders, that's like cynicism squared, that's off the rails, that's fucking … I don't even have the words. What do you call it when the suffering of persons of color is used by white people as a political foot ball? It's pretty sick, if you ask me. Stop it. We've got an important election coming up and I don't want to have to waste time countering your lies. To those of you who feel righteous in your cause: you're not. You're just kind of gross and slimy.
I respect the #BLM cause and I would never, ever, use that cause, or any just cause, simply to smear a political opponent. That is shameful. It's been going on her since Netroots Nation and it has to come to a stop. How long will you continue to lie after being shown the truth?
Are you really so caught up in politics as a blood sport that you will continue to exploit #BLM in an attempt to damage the character of someone who has not even come close to earning it?
Enough is enough. Get on with writing diaries but do it with dignity.
Thank you for reading.
