It is no secret that the American right-wing evangelical Christians are no friend to the LGBT community. Those in the Progressive community are familiar with hate groups such as the American Family Association and the Family Research Council.
Thanks to the dedication of groups like Right Wing Watch, The Southern Poverty Law Center and the Human Rights Council their hate-filled agendas do not go unnoticed.
As a member of the LGBT Community, I have been closely monitoring the progress of the Uganda Anti-Homosexuality bill. Many of you may know it as the "kill the gays bill.
The bill proposed in 2009 by David Bahati, a member of Uganda's Parliament would legalize one of two punishments for homosexuals:
Death
If convicted of "Aggravated Homosexuality" - homosexual acts committed by a person who is HIV+, is a parent or authority figure, or who administers intoxicating substances, homosexual acts committed on minors or people with disabilities, and repeat offenders.
Life Imprisonment
If convicted of the "offense" of homosexuality - same-sex sexual acts, involvement in a same-sex marriage, or an attempt to commit aggravated homosexuality.
The bill ultimately passed in 2013, but "only" imposed life imprisonment, and dropped the death penalty.
However, David Bahati is continuing his efforts to create a wide-spread LGBT Genocide. He announced in March that he intends to reintroduce the bill in Uganda's Parliament.
As terrible as the bill itself is, the genesis for the proposed anti-gay legislation is where the true horror lies: American right-wing evangelical 'christians'.
God Loves Uganda
Roger Ross William's film "God Loves Uganda" documents the legalized LGBT genocide being proposed and the murders already happening.
Facts and reality are not generally associated with the American right-wing evangelical 'christian' way of thinking, but in this case, even they acknowledge the obvious: Americans are no longer willing to accept the archaic system of 'morals' they wish to impose on our society.
The International House of Prayer has managed to maintain a lower profile than that of the AFA and FRC. That has not stopped them from exporting their genocidal hatred to Uganda.
These people are not Christians. They are a cult of homicidal monsters posing as Christians.
Interestingly enough, they have posted a '7-step guide on how to recognize a cult'. (I'm not linking to it because I don't want to give them traffic.)
God Loves Uganda is a must-see film for LGBT People, their supporters, and all people who support Human Rights.
Have you seen it?
