Jim Coffman, coauthor of our book, Global Insanity: How Homo sapiens Lost Touch with Reality while Transforming the World, posted this on facebook: ENOUGHNESS: Restoring Balance to the Economy in the Most Awesome Way Ever
How we see the world determines how we act. Western thought sees us at war with each other over resources. In Indigenous philosophy, we are all related as individuals in balance with nature. Enoughness juxtaposes these two world views and delivers some startling facts.
It is pointed out that "Indigenous peoples territory spans 24% of the earths land surface but is home to 80% of it's total biodiversity. This is not a coincidence." Well illustrated throughout, this short film is a powerful testament to living in harmony rather than in competition with each other and the earth.

This short film does a nice job of explaining and illustrating the pathological mindset that led humanity to lose touch with reality while transforming the world (as per the subtitle of Global Insanity, the book I wrote with Don Mikulecky).
When we wrote the book we were much more naive than we are now. It is as if we really did not understand the meaning of our own words fully. Now a few years have passed and we are much more aware of the deep seated mind set that Western Civilization has evolved in its collective psyche.
Through writing blogs here and reading so many others here and elsewhere we are learning that the human mind is not as free to adapt to change and new ideas as we had thought.
There can be no doubt that the Western view of humanity and its relation to nature is destructively wrong. Yet the fact that this is true really does not matter. Even the most well informed and dedicated seem to fail to be able to step back and see that it is our entire system and the world view that spawned it are out of our control and have no basis in reality.
Many of us mock religion but fail to see the close connection between the way the human mind deals with religion and the way it deals with science and technology. We fail because we are using a collection of frames and memes (for lack of better terms) that have built on each other and re-enforced each other over hundreds of years.
Fortunately we failed to complete the genocide that would have removed another view from our midst. There are sill people alive who understand the difference between the Western Myth and the other ways of thinking. They have not given in to the success and power of technology and nature hating versions of science.
It is still possible to step out of the old context and to take a fresh look at who we have become. It is not a pretty picture but it needs to be faced straight on and this needs to be done on a large scale and quickly.
