The insanity continues, and unfortunately it is now, again, aimed at Burns, Oregon.
The Pacific Patriots Network (I will not link to their page) have issued a call for “any and all Americans” to head to Burns to protest the “violent, malicious and deceitful tactics” used by the government to oppress the poor innocent terrorists that have been arrested or shot.
Here is the list of their demands:
- Immediate detention by Oregon State Police of the FBI special agent in charge along with all agents and LEO involved in the shooting death of Lavoy Finicum. A first hand eyewitness account presents reasonable cause for arrest while the investigation takes place.
- Immediate removal of all militarized FBI personnel and equipment from Harney County. All State and County Law Enforcement officers are not included and requested to stay and assist in the process to keep the peace.
- Immediate resignation of Judge Steve Grasty, Sheriff David Ward, County commissioner Pete Runnels, and County commissioner Dan Nichols.
They advise that their mission cannot be accomplished unless a lot of people show up.
I, on the other hand, would advise that their mission cannot be accomplished, regardless, because they are idiots.
Having spent a lot of time listening to and reading various nutbag sites in the last two weeks, there's a constant theme that comes up; they hate being called terrorists. They view the increased use of the term in reference to them as problematic for their movement. So, please use the term whenever possible.

So, the little town of Burns, Oregon, may, once again, be flooded with terrorists, criminals and the most whacked of the whacked. Just when it seemed perhaps this (Bundy takeover) would wind down, it may not. Let’s hope their call out is unsuccessful. The town has been through quite enough. Their children are not in school (again), and the fabric of the town is badly damaged according to its residents.
For those not living in a little town, I can tell you that it is hard—often impossible--to repair badly damaged relationships. For the town to succeed, it requires a lot of cooperation and understanding. People aren’t unknown to one another as in big cities. Lives are incredibly interwoven and pretty dependent on acting as a whole.
I am wishing the little town of Burns the best.
UPDATE: Wanted to add that a diary is up regarding the continued holding of those arrested prior to trial. Diary is here: www.dailykos.com/...
