Terrific and strong endorsement for Hillary in Nevada. Astrid Silva is a well known immigration activist and DREAMer. She and seven other activists are with her!
Sanders campaign tries to downplay the endorsement and Astrid Silva replies.

Eight prominent immigration activists from Nevada are endorsing Hillary Clinton for president.
The DREAMers include Astrid Silva, who was brought to the country illegally but later got deportation relief under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. She introduced President Barack Obama when he came to Las Vegas in 2014 to rally for a similar deportation relief program for people with children who are American citizens or legal residents.
Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid frequently highlights Silva's story in discussing immigration issues.

Astrid Silva, a prominent immigration activist whose close relationship to Nevada Sen. Harry Reid put her in the middle of the Dream Act and executive action fights, told BuzzFeed News she is endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
The formal announcement, set to come in a Univision op-ed Wednesday, comes months after Silva sat down with Clinton for a key campaign immigration event
My dad had his stay of removal extended for a year, but I don’t what’s going to heappen,” Silva said. “My parents just became grandparents, and with Secretary Clinton it’s about knowing Noah is going to have his grandma and grandpa.”
She will be joined at an endorsement event along with seven other DREAMers — Blanca Gamez, Rafael Lopez, Betsaida Frausto, Karla Rodriguez, Erika Castro, Dulce Valencia, and Rudy Zamora.

Incredibly, the Sanders campaign tried to throw cold water on this very important endorsement. Winning hearts and minds in the Latino community? Not.

Less than a month after Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy for president, her campaign reached out to me and said that she wanted to hear directly from DREAMers about our lives and experiences. So, in the library of Rancho High School in Las Vegas, Hillary listened to us, asked us questions and took notes.
She made a commitment to us that, as President, she would fight for immigration reform with a clear path to citizenship, and if Republicans were unwilling to move, she would defend, implement and renew President Obama’s executive actions and would go further to keep more families together.
Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate to tackle the challenges our next President will face, especially when it comes to finally fixing our broken immigration system. I know that I cannot caucus, but as someone who knows all too well what it’s like to live in constant fear of losing one’s family to deportation, I am asking Nevada voters to stand with immigrant families and caucus for Hillary Clinton on February 20th. I stand with Hillary because she stands with the immigrant community.
