If nothing else, Jeb! Bush has dogged determination (and a massive Super PAC!) that's going to keep him in the Republican nomination race for at least another round or two. He's not going anywhere, at least not yet.
"This campaign is not dead," he said after stepping onto the stage at Manchester Community College to thank supporters. "We’re going on to South Carolina." […]
"Now we need someone who believes in the goodness and the greatness of the American people," he said. "Someone who will organize to find unity again, to create a sense of purpose, someone who will work across the aisles."
How's he going to find that unity? With a scorched-earth campaign against his nearest rivals, of course. Because that's what joyful tortoises do: spend millions attempting to demolish others. In this case, it's going to be Marco Rubio (his closest rival) and John Kasich, who smoked him in New Hampshire. Jeb!'s not going to go down without taking the only other two reasonably normal candidates with him.
In a demonstration of just how much self-awareness is not his strong suit, this is the message Jeb!'s campaign is working on against Rubio: "Rubio has demonstrated no respect for the nomination process and expects this to be a coronation." Meanwhile, big brother George W. is all over South Carolina radio for Jeb! Perfect.
