I haven’t done one of these since Iowa Eve, when there were still “others,” so let’s do it! Let’s vote on the community’s Democratic presidential candidate preference.

Vote! And here’s some ground rules: If you feel like saying that Donald Trump will defeat Bernie Sanders and/or Hillary Clinton, you’re a moron—10 demerits! If you feel like saying that Hillary Clinton is more conservative than ANY Republican, you’re a moron—100 demerits. If you feel like saying that Bernie Sanders is like Barry Goldwater George McGovern, you’re a moron—100 demerits. If you feel like saying that you’ll never vote for the Democratic nominee, whoever that is, go fuck yourself—1,000 demerits.
Even if Clinton was as conservative as the critics claim she is, are you really going to argue that her Scalia replacement will be no different than the GOP’s? And even if Sanders’ ideas could never get through a GOP House, don’t you realize that his Supreme Court nominee alone will be more important than anything he could accomplish legislatively?
We have two great candidates, no matter what your own psychosis tells you, and this election will decide the balance of the Supreme Court—which could mean an end to partisan gerrymandering and Citizens United and myriad other issues of critical importance to us. I get it, when you’re that committed to a single candidate, it’s hard to see beyond your biases. But that’s the truth. So fucking grow up.
