Not too long ago I posted a timeline on the purposeful poisoning of the people of Flint Michigan by the republican administration that had replaced the democratically elected officials with an “emergency manager”. With autocratic control over all decision making in the hands of these republicans with no oversight and no check on that power, the resulting harm was all but predictable. Only it wasn’t. It was even worse:

Since that report, new facts have been discovered including a series of Michigan republican governor Snyder’s internal e-mails. Here is Rachel Maddow & team’s report, without any further commentary about the timeline by me. This was no “mistake”
I was going to post the sources of Rachel Maddow & teams report, but the way Rachel Maddow ties the e-mails and other evidence into her narrative completely locks the facts into the timeline that needs no further input on the facts from me.
It is very clear what went down.*
One of the “strengths” republicans brag about is their reactionary ability to “circle the wagons” when hiding their crimes and calling it “leadership” (republican Wisconsin governor Scott Walker), but this time it looks like we may see a republican governor indicted, convicted, and serving time.
It won’t be the first time (former Virginia governor Bob McDonnell) a republican governor was caught and convicted of crimes against the people they were sworn to protect and serve, but this time, and this crime that cost lives can not be hidden away as easily as these republicans erased those lives. This time the poisoning of the thousands of men, women and children especially, is said to leave permanent damage.
Hope the label of “crime syndicate” will be one that sticks, and that all republican governors, and the GOP, whether directly involved or not will be seen in this truthful light. Because that is exactly what they are.
