Although Hillary Clinton lost by a squeaker in Michigan last evening, in a primary election which was open to Independents and cross over voters, she also won in a landslide in Mississippi and thus ended up with more delegates on the night, and currently leads Sanders in pledged delegates by +219 according to 538. The total delegates committed to Clinton are 1221 according to the BING political index.
In Six days voters will go to the polls in five primary states in another Super Tuesday election. The latest poll from CNN/ORC released this morning has Clinton beating Sanders by wide margins in Ohio and Florida. The results come less than a week from the March 15 contests which also include Illinois, North Carolina and Missouri.
In Florida Clinton leads by 61% to 34% and in Ohio she leads 63% to 33% according to the latest survey. Two thirds of the voters have already made up their minds whom they plan to support in each state.
The survey also indicates that Clinton would start the general election campaign with a seven point advantage over Trump in both Ohio and Florida.
