This is the continuing story (here and here) of the hunger strike in the Mission District of San Francisco against police violence. Today, from noon to three, a community rally was held at the hunger strike locale in front of the Mission Police Station. And on Tuesday, at 1 PM, there will be a march from the Mission to City Hall to demand justice, to demand the end of extrajudicial police killings, and to demand that the police chief, Greg Suhr, be fired.
This is the 10th day of the hunger strike which began on April 21st. The hunger strikers and their supporters have been outside the police station at 17th & Valencia in the heart of the Mission District, just a block from the 16th St. BART Station.
Tweets and Tweetpics from today's rally. Hashtags #hungerforjusticesf and #Frisco5 (for the now five hunger strikers).
