Among the many falsities that Donald Trump surely spewed during his speech Wednesday, was this gem regarding his most recent calls to reinstate a ban on Muslims entering the country:
"I will tell you the LGBT community, the gay community, the lesbian community, they are so much in favor of what I've been saying over the last three or four days."
Just for context, Trump was talking about the Orlando massacre, immigration, and said that just after he referenced Sharia law.
On behalf of myself and perhaps some other sane LGBTQ Americans across the country, allow me to respond: NO, WE ARE NOT. QUIT THANKING US. QUIT INVOKING US. QUIT USING OUR TRAGEDY TO LAUNCH HATEFUL RHETORIC AGAINST MUSLIMS OR ANY OTHER MINORITY. JUST QUIT. WE EXIST IN EVERY RACE, IN EVERY ETHNICITY, IN EVERY RELIGION. ALL ARE OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS. #notinmyname
