We heard Peregrine Falcons are nesting again on this cliff near where I live. Went down to see if there are any signs of them. No luck, this time anyway. It was a nice quiet afternoon on the beach though.
The Daily Bucket is a regular feature of the Backyard Science group. It is a place to note any observations you have made of the world around you. Rain, sun, wind...insects, birds, flowers...meteorites, rocks...seasonal changes...all are worthy additions to the bucket. Please let us know what is going on around you in a comment. Include, as close as is comfortable for you, where you are located. Each note is a record that we can refer to in the future as we try to understand the patterns that are quietly unwinding around us.
What was flying that day?
Waiting for orchid blooms there too -
What WAS flowering now in late June?
A quick bucket to fill on this Wednesday. Waiting to hear your observations, even if they tell us what’s NOT around!
We’re headed out soon to scrape barnacles off the prop, when the tide comes up enough to float the skiff, an hour or two. Partly sunny today in the PNW islands.
