We don’t have too many precincts counted yet, but compared to turnout in 2012 (when both OK-01 and OK-02 saw competitive GOP primaries), we have enough votes that it’s worth taking a look at what’s going on. In OK-01, Rep. Jim Bridenstine has a huge 76-21 lead on self-funder Tom Atkinson, who simply never gave voters a reason to fire the incumbent. Over in OK-02, Rep. Markwayne Mullin has a smaller but still relatively hale 61-39 lead on Jarrin Jackson, who was supported by former Sen. Tom Coburn (a popular figure with conservatives) because of Mullin’s recent wobbliness on fulfilling a term-limits pledge he once made.
