The time has come (passed actually) for Colorado Daily Kos readers and writers to start lobbying the powers here at the Daily Kos to endorse State Sen. Morgan Carroll in her bid to remove one of Colorado’s most regressive and embarrassing members of the US House of Representatives.
Sen. Carroll is a Progressive Democrat from Colorado’s 6th Congressional District.
She’s a candidate campaigning on a positive and progressive list of accomplishments as a member of the Colorado General Assembly. (Go to www.carrollforcolorado.com for complete list and details)
Her opponent’s “hero”, Tom Tancredo, whom he replaced in Congress had this to say about Mr. Coffman: “only thing authentic about [Coffman) is his passionate desire to keep that House Member pin on his lapel.”
Whatever you may think about Tommy Tancredo, you’ve got to give him credit for a spot-on accurate assessment of his successor.
Labor Day 2016 is now history and the pundits tell us that Campaign 2016 is now (yep not until now) in full swing.
So fellow Colorado Progressives, the time has come for us to unite and DEMAND that the Powers-That-Be here at the Daily Kos add Sen. Carroll to the list of True Blue Progressive Democrats the DK is endorsing.
If a conservative conservative like Tommy Tancredo believes that conservatives “would lose nothing” if Sen. Carroll is elected this November, then we progressives need to do all we can to prove Tancredo is correct (at least on this matter) and see to it that Coffman loses the only thing he is passionate about — his House Member lapel pin.
While we’re at it, we should be putting in a good word for Bob Seay who is working hard to buck Ken Buck out of Congress. But that’s a matter for another post.
This post is about getting Sen. Morgan Carroll added to the list of Daily Kos supported candidates to ensure that come January 2017, when the US House of Representatives convenes, Colorado is representing our 6th District and the interest and welfare of not only Coloradoans, but of the entire nation.
