Well, we knew the final weeks leading up to Iowa and New Hampshire were bound to bring out the best in Republicans, and Marco Rubio has now entered his name into the GOP's "Not a shred of truth" sweepstakes. Mark Hensch reports:
“It’s now abundantly clear: Barack Obama has deliberately weakened America,” Rubio said early Monday during a speech on national security at the American Legion in Hooksett, N.H.
“He has made an intentional effort to humble us back to size,” the GOP presidential hopeful said. "As if to say: we no longer need to be so powerful because our power has done more harm than good.
“Happiest of all have been America’s enemies,” he added. "[It is] because when America steps back, it gives darker forces the space they need to rise. And rise they have.”
Ooooooh—let the conspiracy theories begin! Is Obama "deliberately" helping Putin, so Russia can finally defeat the U.S.? Not bad, not bad, but probably not the most likely answer in nut-job land, because remember, Obama's a Muslim in their world.
Maybe Obama’s "deliberately" helping Iran. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense with this whole sham of a nuclear deal so the Supreme Leader can get Iran’s sanctions lifted and take over the world.
But then again, c'mon, we're totally overthinking this: "darker forces" = ISIS! We all know that's what Rubio meant. Obama is "deliberately" helping ISIS. There, we said it. You're welcome, Marco.
