Things are looking up for Hillary Clinton in Florida, a +7 in the latest poll, and on a roll. The Trumpster Fire made quite the little gaffe there, his secret Cuba foray years ago has inflamed the normally influential Cuban community, if he loses those, he’s sunk, and may take “Little Marco” right down with him. With Clinton’s surrogate star power she can blanket the state, while ‘Cabbage Patch Kids Paws” has to do everything for himself. Good thing he’s charging that jet to the donors and the RNC! If we have the opportunity to win at the top in Florida, why not run the table?
FL-04 this year is an interesting race, and a possible pickup. There is no incumbent advantage, there are two first time candidates running for it. On the GOP side is John Rutherford. He is a career law enforcement officer, and from what I could see, an excellent one, for which I commend him. But his issues stances are pure GOP kitty litter. He wants to “build the wall”, repeal Obamacare, supports concealed carry, opposes a semi automatic weapons ban, opposes a national registry, and is fiercely pro life. Oy!
Gimme Dave Bruderly any day of the week. He is a 42 year resident of Florida, and a veteran. His active duty tour took him through several active hot spots, including Israel-Egypt, and North-South Korea. He has seen first hand the importance of a stable hand on international affairs. He received a Congressional appointment to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, which changed his life.
In civilian life he is an engineer. The company he built has had projects in 20 states, as well as Canada, Israel, Egypt, Germany and Japan, so he knows a little something about foreign relations all by himself.Unlike Mein Furor, Dave is actually good at what he does.
Dave is strong on the environment, having seen in his 47 years as an engineer what impact man can have on his surroundings. He supports the single payer option for health care. He wants debt free college and fully funded K-12 education. He supports full veteran health care funding, including improved mental health access and wants to push for transparent, non partisan redistricting boards, and a Constitutional Amendment to overturn Citizens United. Notice any small differences there?
Dave’s opponent won a comfortable primary in a crowded field with 38% of the vote. But 38% ain’t 50%+1, and his closest opponent had 20%, so he obviously has some ground to make up in his own party. Trump appears to be starting to depress GOP enthusiasm in Florida with his toxic message and gaffes. If we can unite motivated behind Hillary, and if Dave can get some recognition and attention, we can do this.
Dave is listed on the august 90for90.org, so you know he’s the real deal. If you’d like to learn more about Dave, you can click HERE. If you’d like to give him a little financial boost, hit THIS. And if you’d like to get in the trenches and help Dave fight the good fight personally, give THIS ONE a push. Let’s give Dave Bruderly some love and see if we can’t pull this one off.
