Democrats from every corner of this great nation are unyielding in their unity about Donald Trump: He has revealed himself to be a sexual predator who views women as less than human—and any Republicans who still support him are not fit to call themselves members of civilized society.
Daily Kos, as you know, has endorsed a number of candidates running for the House. Today they speak in one voice, condeming both Trump and their Republican opponents who enable him.
Doug Applegate (CA-49):
“As a father of two daughters, it was difficult for me to listen to Donald Trump’s vile comments today. It is beyond comprehension to me that my opponent Darrell Issa thinks this man should be President.”
Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01):
“Frank Guinta has stood by Trump at every turn. When Trump attacked the parents of a fallen hero, Guinta was silent. When Trump mocked a reporter with a disability, Guinta was silent. Guinta cannot be silent anymore. He admires and champions a candidate for President who thinks he can do whatever he wants to women. This man is not a role model, and Guinta must denounce him immediately,” said Carol Shea-Porter.
Please give $1 to each of these Democrats so they can boot Trump’s enablers.
Christina Hartman (PA-16):
“Our campaign has repeatedly called on Lloyd Smucker to repudiate his standard-bearer’s troubling and disgusting words. Tonight is no different. Donald Trump denigrates women, yet he’s earned Lloyd Smucker’s support. Lloyd Smucker must be held accountable and at Monday’s debate, he will finally have to explain to the people of this district why he has endorsed a man who makes casual and lewd remarks about sexual assault."
Paul Clements (MI-06):
I've heard the Donald Trump recordings a number of times, and I'm still shocked. Men who behave in the way that Trump expressed on the video tape released yesterday should be arrested. The racist, misogynistic, and xenophobic things Trump has said already disqualified him from the Presidency, and I hope this episode leaves no doubt about that in the mind of any voter.
Bryan Caforio (CA-25):
“Representative Steve Knight's continued refusal to stand up to his presidential nominee is reprehensible. While Knight may lack the conviction to disavow his party’s nominee, the truth is that Knight shares the same hateful, anti-women agenda. Whether it is his extreme views on women’s access to health care, equal pay, or immigration reform, Representative Knight has shown that he will stand against women at every opportunity.”
Suzanna Shkreli (MI-08):
“Donald Trump’s latest comments on women are simply vile, and beyond offensive. Congressman Mike Bishop needs to immediately denounce Trump’s language, as it is completely unbecoming of a candidate for president.”
Denise Juneau (MT-AL):
"Donald Trump has shown his complete disrespect for women since the beginning of his campaign, but that didn't stop Congressman Zinke from backing him from day one. Just this week, Congressman Zinke laughed off Trump's sexist behavior, calling him an 'equal opportunity offender.'
"I'm calling on Congressman Zinke to denounce Trump's violent remarks, withdraw his endorsement, and apologize for joking about Trump's consistently offensive language. Montana's 500,000 mothers, daughters and sisters are watching."
Jane Dittmar (VA-05):
“These disgusting attitudes and abhorrent abusive criminal actions are rightfully condemned throughout our society. I am appalled to see them embraced by Donald Trump,” said Dittmar.
“Unfortunately, my opponent, Tom Garrett, has advocated his strong support for Trump’s candidacy. I can’t fathom how Garrett can now continue to endorse these admitted actions that constitute a felony aggravated sexual battery charge. I urge Tom Garrett to disavow his support for Trump,” continued Dittmar.
Precisely. And any Republican pretending to be outraged right now is openly saying that he or she was just fine with Trump’s entire campaign of open hatred up until today. So while they have no choice but to disavow their nominee, even if they do, it’ll expose them as hollow frauds who care more about party than country.
Please donate $1 to each of our endorsed House candidates so that we can get rid of Trump’s enablers.
