Folks, we’re through the looking glass here.
So, apparently the NY Post had someone tell the story that they were on the same flight with Trump and one of his accusers. So, when they said nothing happened, that should bolster Trump-le-thin-skin’s story right?
Folks, this man is either a con artist or a bigger scumbag than Trump is himself, and that says something.
First off, he was 18 when these flight happened, gave the wrong year for the flight that he was on the same flight as Trump and the excuser, has nothing to go on but his memory, and oh yeah, I should explain what’s in the title. He claims to have pimped out “rent boys” for English Politicians a decade ago, some possibly underage.
Here’s the story: web.archive.org/…
Gilberthorpe, a former Gloucestershire county councillor and party activist, says that in 1989 he sent a 40-page dossier to Margaret Thatcher (a friend of his, or so he claims) accusing several of her cabinet ministers of “abusing underage boys at drug-fuelled conference parties”. And he should know, for he was paid to recruit underage rent-boys for the orgies.
And we have further explanation that yeah, he’s a con artist:
Phantom engagement
In September 1987, for example, he announced his engagement in the Times to Miss Leah Bergdorf-Hunt, a fashion designer from California. The Gloucester Express reported the news on its front page under the headline “Gilby to Marry”. It quoted Gilberthorpe as saying: "Both our families are delighted… I hope this will explain to a few people about my recent visits to America.” But there was no engagement, and indeed no Miss Bergdorf-Hunt. As revealed in Eye 690, the whole thing was a fantasy.
Oh, and it gets worse (I was going to say better, but yeah, it’s worse). Apparently he sued several British papers for libel (that he had AIDS, etcetera). Turns out the source was Gilberthorpe himself.
So, yeah, this is the person that Kellyanne Conway is trumpeting (please forgive the pun) as exonerating Donald Trump:
So, either this con man is lying, or that they’re relying on the word of a self-confessed child pimp. It’s not the coverup that makes me so bemused here, it’s the fact it’s so over the top ridiculously inconceivable that you couldn’t buy it as a Monty Python skit..
