It's time to start forming an organized, cohesive, effective campaign to roll out right after the election: We must #BoycottTrump.
No matter what happens with the election, he is not going to go away quietly. When he loses (everybody, please vote and GOTV!), he probably won't even have the decency to concede, continuing instead to find ever new ways to disrespect the bedrock institutions of American democracy and our transfer of power. There's speculation he will join his alt-right buddies to form a new media enterprise that will continue spewing drivel and lies, just as they are doing now in the Trump campaign. Trump is loving this bright, never-ending spotlight, and he won't give it up willingly for anything. I don't know about you, but I don't think I can stand it if the media continues reporting on Donald Trump after the election is over.
So, let’s start coming up with ways to hit him where it hurts most: in his vanity and in his wallet.
Here are some ideas to get started.
Trump real estate/buildings:
Encourage travelers and meetings/conventions not to book rooms or meetings in Trump hotels, or eat at restaurants or shop in stores located inside any Trump hotels. Go to the websites of these businesses, corporations and stores and send them feedback, explaining disappointment in their association with Trump in any form and that you will not patronize them because of it.
Trump golf courses and tournaments:
Do not golf on any Trump course, in the US or Scotland, and tell the PGA you will boycott them and their golf-industry sponsors if they associate with Trump golf events.
The Miss Universe Pageant:
Beauty pageants are an anachronism—let's face it. We've all seen how Donald Trump feeds his ego by surrounding himself with pretty young women—and we now also know how he talks about these women and behaves with them. Spread the word not to watch, sponsor or support this event in any way. Tell any network that airs it, and any company that buys advertising airtime during the televised pageant or sponsors its online or marketing efforts, that their products will be added to the #BoycottTrump campaign.
Trump clothing, steak, water, airlines, or any other Trump-labeled product:
Don’t buy or use, and encourage others to avoid these products as well.
Trump’s books:
If you're an independent bookstore, don't stock them. If you're above a third grade reading level, don't buy or read them.
The media:
CNN, Fox, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, it doesn't matter anymore. We’ve been sucked into the media maelstrom that draws its raison d’etre from Donald Trump and his controversies and sucks the life out of those of us who have to watch and read it. We need to pay back the media for their terrible and purposefully confrontational coverage of this disgraceful and degrading campaign, focusing on keeping it a “horse race” at the expense of informing voters about the issues. According to Media Matters, CNN actually hired Trump apologists like Corey Lewandowski and the blonde brigade and paid them beaucoup $ to sit there and spew bald-face lies about Trump at the tops of their voices. Viewers have suffered actual physical distress as a result of watching and reading the 2016 election coverage. Let's dish that stress right back to the media. Who has some thoughts?
Several groups wanting to encourage Trump to come to the negotiating table (the union for culinary workers in Las Vegas, for example) have called for a boycott of Trump businesses and have posted lists of all his business interests online. Just search for “Boycott Trump” and see the lists.
Magazine/newspaper publishers:
Remove your titles from the lobbies, rooms and newsstands located inside Trump hotels. Yes, single-copy sales are important, but there are plenty of other avenues of distribution.
OK, that's a start, but please keep this going. Taking some meaningful actions will certainly feel empowering. After all the vitriol and stress, we need to reclaim our strength. We all are stronger together. Let's get the ideas flowing!

This just in…I was unaware, so thank you to WestCoastFranky for adding that the new hotels being developed by Trump will NOT be carrying the Trump name, because even his own company realizes the brand has become toxic. The name will be “Scion” hotels. So that’s one more potential boycott to add to the list. Here’s an article about it:
