Senior Trump adviser A.J. Delgado, who is still allowed on television for some reason, took to MSNBC to deny that Trump ever "mentioned looks" in his attacks on the multiple women who have accused him of sexual assault—and besides, if he did it's his accusers' fault anyway.
“When you have somebody claiming that you sexually assaulted them, you have brought looks into the equation,” she said.
“If somebody said, ‘A.J. was attracted to me and touched me in an inappropriate manner,’ it’s relevant to the discussion whether that person is the type of person that I would normally be attracted to,” Delgado went on. “He hasn’t mentioned looks. If he did, it would be germane to the discussion. I wouldn’t find that offensive.”
For the record, Donald Trump has a lifelong history of mentioning looks even when it is not remotely germane to the discussion. But Delgado's specific claim that he hasn't bashed his accusers' looks is especially peculiar, given that he's been making a habit of it.
“Believe me, she would not be my first choice, that I can tell you,” Trump said during a campaign event here, referring to one alleged victim. “You don’t know. That would not be my first choice.”
You've got to wonder how any of these Trump surrogates live with themselves. There's a whole constellation of mean-spirited Republicans out there to back—what kind of person looks the lot over and then devotes themselves and their future careers to, of all people, Donald Trump? I'll have to lie during every single television appearance, they think to themselves, but it will all be worth it for Donald. Freaking. Trump.
