This will be quick, and hopefully painless. Are you turned off from writing a candidate diary because of all of the Googling and research required to write it? I do this a lot, so I know what a chore it is, especially with the likely lack of gratification on the Rec list. Just remember, it’s for the candidate and not for us! But believe me, I get it.
So, I’m going to set the table for you, O.K.? There is a new article in the ModerateVoice that is outstanding! It lists a series of allegedly “safe” GOP districts that suddenly don’t look quite so secure anymore. The article is well written, with extensive research and reasoning on each of the races, showing why a bunch of political nobodies could end up in Congress in January, giving quite a few GOP incumbents an extreme case of the sadz that the gravy train has come into the station for them.
There are quite a few I’m going to take a pass at over the next week or so. But please, don’t let that stop you, we’re only 21 days out, we need all hands on deck to make this work! Just find one that interests you, whip out a diary, Google the candidates website so you can provide links in the diary to the site and the donate page and let ‘er rip. You can’t spread good news too often, can you?!? Please just make sure that you include the state code and district number in the title so that it can more easily be reblogged to other branches of the Kos network that deal with activism like the 50 State Project and the Election Action Team.
How much simpler can it be? Just read the section you’re interested in, write the highlights, provide a bit of your own personal flair, include the candidate website and donation links, and you’re done! Come on people, we can do this! Just ask Stephen Tryon in UT, and Eileen Bedell in VA among others. Let’s “Git ‘er Done”!
Thanks as always for reading, and GO Blue!
