As Donald Trump makes his last and best case for the presidency, he would like you to know that his habitual flurries of Twitter-based insults are part of what makes him great. Because, specifically:
"It's OK, most of them deserved it," Trump said on ABC's "Good Morning America."
So there you go. Glad we could clear that up.
"I believe in fighting back when people are against me, when they tell lies, you know, I have the power of this instrument and, frankly, sometimes I'll use that. And I agree sometimes it will revert back or sometimes maybe it doesn't come out — you have to be careful with it."
As usual for a Donald Trump paragraph, the first sentence seems fine, or at least comprehensible, and everything after that rapidly descends into unparseable gibberish reversion throat lozenge pepperbunnies. This is a habit of his stump speeches and debate answers as well: Donald Trump uses up all his best words before the first few commas, and God help him and you both if he's still got another two minutes to fill.
For the record, the nature of this particular presidential season means that of course somebody in the press has been tasked with keeping a running list of the now-280+ people and places Trump has insulted using his Twitter account alone.
But it's OK. Most of them deserved it.
