Minding my own business at work, when this email pops up..
“Donald Trump is right… “
Why would his campaign give credit to Trump for “identifying” that cybersecurity is an issue, especially in-light of the documented DNC hacker issues? He doesn’t actually think Trump was a forerunner in this regard?
And yes, he goes on to state that Trump has no clue on how to solve it.. but does he really believe Trump has “clearly” identified the problem?
Finally, the most humorous part of the email to me, and by that I mean, the biggest reason why I find this email insulting and makes me less willing to contribute to his cause…
is his final paragraph: “It's a serious challenge and it demands attention from serious people. Not punchlines in a political debate.”
His copywriter couldn’t come up with something unique, so he used the words of Aaron Sorkin’s President Andrew Shepherd from The American President: “We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious people to solve them.”
This is not a way to convince me you are a serious candidate, if this is the quality of your outreach.
In fact, all I can say is, “Seriously?
