I’m writing this online, so pardon any roughness.
Today is the last day of early voting in Chicago (duh!). I was actually surprised that it was still possible today.
This is a report from only one site, but the past week the site was not unusual. Today, the line is longer than ever. There was voting available at the site yesterday, to my surprise. They have at least 14 voting machines.
The report, third hand, is that the time it takes is an hour and a half.
I don’t know what this means for voting tomorrow, although the people voting today obviously don’t expect it to be slow.
These are Chicagoans, so most of them are voting Democratic. This probably doesn’t mean anything about Clinton's chances — everybody assumes she will carry IL easily. OTOH, it speaks well for Duckworth. And I’m psyched.
