We need to step back a bit and view the detritus, flotsam, and jetsam that the future coronation will bring to this country. (If you don’t think he will be throwing a coronation for his swearing in match, just you wait Enri Iggins, just you wait! A spectacle of unimaginable proportions, excesses, and pathetically, laughably bad taste. Just like the president elect)
Here are the points that stand out.
A. Attacks on the media
B. Promises to increase military spending
C. Attacks on comedians, SNL, and anyone who blogs about him in an unfavorable light.
D. Selection of so many generals as heads of departments
E. His threats to enemies, real or imaginary, domestic or foreign
A. Attacks on the media
For the entire campaign, Trump has attacked the media as being unfair, bad, lying, and whole slew of other short descriptors. He used it to control the message, intimidate people who tried to bring up the truth, and to force concessions where none were owed.
Of course, he was extremely successful, even against Fox News, his natural ally in the press. That success continues to thi day, even before he is sworn in.
By constantly attacking the media, he energizes his base, he makes normal people question, “What if he is right?” and he has insulated himself from many future attacks. Journalists are human. If you beat on your spouse repeatedly and tell him/her that they are stupid, worthless, and lower than dirt, in all too many cases, the victim begins to believe it. That is what the relationship between the media and Trump is like, with the media playing the role of an abused spouse.
This does not bode will for the future. In fact, it could be the start of Trumplethinskin’s pogrom of choice. Sad to say, it will be cheered by those left behind by both D and R folks outside the bloatway, who feel that no one in DC actually cares about their particular plight.
As a measure of just how successful his attacks on the media have been, a recent poll of Trump voters showed that media efforts to show proof of his repeated lies are simply not believed. This is not a situation that will easily or quickly change.
If you think he will change his behavior as president, just think “Tweets.”

B. Promises to increase defense spending.
Defense spending, including Homeland security, is already bloated, ridiculous, and counter-productive. Take aircraft carriers, for one example. A $14 billion dollar Maginot Line that can be sunk by a $10 million dollar Chinese hypercruise missile.
Even more bothersome is that this has all the indications of being little more than a bribe, so the military will support him in his future endeavors, both domestic and foreign.
Included in the promised increases will be a jump in domestic security spending. Police, FBI, National Guards — all of this will be directed against you and me. If you think that’s OK, remember what he wants to do to flag burners.
We are seeing the start of a fascist state, with a thin-skinned, obsessive, egomaniac in charge.
Our country may never recover.
C. Attacks on comedians, etc.
Satire, poking fun at our leaders, and lambasting elected officials is an art form in this country. Some do it well. Steven Colbert, Jon, Stewart, Tina Fey, and now Alec Baldwin are doing just what comedians do. The fact that they now have a YUGE target makes their work product even more enjoyable.
Only a fascist would promise that SNL will close down in a few weeks. Only a thin-skinned egomaniac would tweet about how Baldwin is lousy and horrible and mean. Only someone who wants total control over the media would be acting out in such a spoiled 6 yr old fashion.
Watch for calls to arrest and imprison folks just because they dared poke fun at Herr Trump. And watch as his biggest fans cheer that effort. Blood will be shed because of this guy. Our blood.
D. Selection of so many generals as agency heads
The reason is simple. He wants them because of their backgrounds. He wants them to lead their troops when he completes his take-over of this country. He needs them, their connections with the military, police, FBI, etc., to fulfill his dreams.
Never before has any president had so many generals on his staff. Excepting Hitler, perhaps, and North Korea. Why? He is preparing for war. A domestic attack on us. Especially the growing majority that did NOT vote for him.
E. His threats to his enemies, real or imaginary, foreign or domestic
A sane, sober, level-headed person would not tweet threats or attack people without any regard for decency. It would never enter most people’s minds. But Trump is not most people. His self-image is so inflated, that anyone speaking against him is an enemy. The only way he knows how to respond to any criticism is by threatening and beating on his perceived opponent. That is how he conducted his businesses, and that is how he will conduct his presidency. (Read his book, if you dare, to see his admission of this trait).
Again, does anyone really think that this demented little man will change his ways after his gaudy, tasteless, expensive coronation?

If you put it all together, we have a problem. A very serious problem. A problem that could lead to riots in the streets, martial law, and arrests of innocents in the name of freedom. World war will be a certainty, not an abstract idea for the Pentagon. Domestic tranquility will be a thing of the past. Arme goons, some with concealed weapons will be free to attack anyone who is perceived to stand in Trump’s way.
Our nation will never be the same again. If we survive.
