Are we 20 times more likely to be killed by an NRA member than an ISIS sympathizer?
Squishy numbers here, but the best I can figure (averaging several sources) there are a minimum of 30 accidental shootings a day in the US, call it 11,000 a year. Some sources put that number much higher, but we’ll lowball. Repeat, that's just the accidental shootings per year.
Roughly 6% of gun owners belong to the NRA. So it could be argued that 6% of 11k shootings were quite possibly done by NRA members--that's a theoretical 660 NRA shootings per year. Be charitable and say half of those guns were borrowed or swiped, slop in some other factors, and cut that number by a third, still leaving a troubling 200 NRA member shootings a year. The true number? The NRA and its puppets will never let us know.
Again with less than rock-solid numbers, it appears that less than 20 people have been killed by ISIS sympathizers in the US since that gang of dirtbags named themselves. This total goes back to 2014.
Call it 20 in two years, versus the 400 (200X2) NRA member shootings over that same period.
