A correction was quietly appended to a recent artile titled “How the Clinton email scandal took root”. The article, which contained nothing new except for the claim that 147 FBI agents allegedly were involved in the investigation, falsely stated that 147 FBI agents were investigating the Clinton email server. The number is “less than 50” (of course, “less than 50” can be 49 or 15, or 7, and the FBI did not give the WaPo an exact figure).
The bad journalist who wrote it is Robert Marrow, twitter account @roberthmarrow .
The editor who made sure the article was accurate is...nobody.
Most people will never know the real figure was tripled in this “news” report. This is the sad state of our linkbait journalism.
And Bernie supporters will continue to pretend that Sanders is the one who gets the worse media coverage of the two. mediamatters.org/…
