When I was first going to post this story, it was merely an interview with a fellow Independent Journalist. But in the last few weeks, I have watched as a 'trusted' news source like Rachel Maddow has become overtly partisan in this Primary and I have realized that it is vital to us all to vet our news sources.
This is a larger issue in this election.
President Bill Clinton signed the FCC act of 1996
Perhaps it is a coincidence, but I find it chilling that starting 3 years ago in 2013,
Clear Channel, who was the major beneficiary of that FCC act, began to remove or ‘downsize’ all radio stations that featured Ed Schultz / Thom Hartmann and Randi Rhodes.
Think about that, every Progressive voice on the radio lost their platform just before the launch of Hillary Clinton's Presidential run.
It may just be a coincidence that every voice to the LEFT of Hillary are losing their platform on traditional media. It is not a coincidence that by DWS efforts the DNC has tried to squash any debate time for the Primary.
Fortunately, we have social media and Independent Journalists who still cover the REAL NEWS who will not be co-opted.
Tim Black has been featured on multiple outlets, including Dr.Phil.
His analysis on the Presidential hopes for Bernie Sanders.
On same day voting:
Tim
Anything that allows people the freedom to be able to go that day and make their choice, I'm all for that and that is only going to help Bernie.
On Donald Trump
Tim
(Bernie) does better, polls higher than Hillary against Trump.
Me
When you have someone like Donald Trump, I mean if you replace the word 'Muslim' with 'Jew' (in his speeches) this country would be saying Donald Trump is acting like Adolph Hitler...
I think Bernie Sanders is uniquely qualified having been the son of Jewish escapees from World War II Nazi Germany and Poland,
I think with his message, he could hit back on Donald Trump's hateful message in a way that, I just don't think Hillary Clinton could.
Tim
A lot of people are supporting Donald Trump - they are so focused that he is from the outside, they distrust politicians to the point, that 'I will ignore all of that (hate)'
As long as he is not part this establishment.
On Hillary Clinton on Bernie's 'Tone'
Me
If Bernie is saying things that are polite policy differences, what will Trump be doing?
Tim
Trump will be pounding that drum from 7 days till Sunday. He's going to be talking about her emails.
This is for sure, he won't be saying 'We don't want to hear about your emails'
He's gonna be making sure everyone hears about the emails.
He may even bring out Monica Lewinsky, I don't put it past him to use every trick he can.
On Bernie's character
Tim
You can point out stylistic things about Bernie, but you won't find that he's ever been against
Same Sex marriage, that he ever took money from Private Prisons...
these things are HUGE to me!
Me
Every state where Bernie did not compete and did not put resources, Hillary won, specifically in the South, but turn out was up to 30% lower.
Everywhere Bernie participates and competes, like my home state of Colorado, and Utah, Nebraska, Kansas, they BREAK the turnout record.
When you have a person like Trump who is doing similar record breaking turnouts for the Republicans,
you gotta ask yourself,
Who's going to bring the crowd?
Because this is going to be about bringing BIG numbers on that Voting Day.
Tim
One last thing I will say, Trump defeated Jeb Bush because people don't want to go back to the Bush days.
I think he will do the same thing with the Clintons because people don't want to go back to the Clinton days, and that's an easy case to make when we talk about moving forward, not moving back.
You might notice the chirping of Sparrows in the background in this interview :)
Feel the Bird! Vote Bernie Sanders!
