Here we are, in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, prepping for our trip to Newfoundland next week. We have satellite TV, so we watch CNN for our news.
And here’s our wanna-be Maximum Leader for Life, somewhere in Colorado, ranting about e-mails and other not-really-connected-with-reality garbage, when he said this:
‘… and I like the old days, especially for the military, on things like that…. you wanna attack or you wanna do something….. it’s called courier…..it’s called… let’s put it in a thing…. put it in an envelope and let’s hand it to the general… let’s not send it over the wires (waving his stubby fingers in the air for some reason) where everybody’s probably reading it, right? And no matter how good…. no matter how good they say it is…. it’s not…. I mean, people can hack it I guess…. it’s terrible… I know and if you talk about military and you talk about secrets, you talk about politics…...
I’m just sitting here dumbfounded, going ‘uh….uh….whaaaaaa?’
Then he went on to bluster about how General McArthur and General George Patton (rough as hell, according to Drumpf) would never use e-mail…..
I know our incipient Dear Leader has said some really, truly ignorant stuff, but this just has to go into the top 5.
This person’s depth of ignorance of all things military, to say nothing of all matters pertaining to communications in general, is astounding, and gets more scary every day.
It’s scary to think what he could do to our country if elected.
Thankfully, our next month will be mostly out of range of satellite TV and/or internet.
Cheers.
