Donald Trump may have the most preposterous health record ever released by a presidential candidate, but that's not stopping him from making completely unfounded accusations about Hillary Clinton's health. Naturally, the Clinton campaign has released a totally reasonable health record, while Trump released a laughable document addressed "To Whom My Concern" and proclaiming he would be "the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency." Let's just say that we're all a little concerned about Trump's "fitness" for office, and that includes the Clinton campaign. Caitlin MacNeal writes:
"Facing withering criticism from national media outlets, state editorial boards and even some Republican allies over his refusal to release his tax returns, Donald Trump is once again peddling deranged conspiracy theories in a desperate attempt to change the subject – this time with absurd and debunked claims about Hillary Clinton’s health," the campaign said in a statement.
The campaign criticized Trump for "desperately trying to give life to already busted myths about the health of a woman whose stamina and focus was publicly lauded following an 11 hours long hearing about the tragedy in Benghazi."
Trump has recently resurrected some version of his "low energy" jab against Jeb Bush, saying Clinton "lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on ISIS." The big difference is that Jeb constantly looked "low energy." You can't have people routinely criticizing Clinton about yelling at rallies on the one hand and then come back with a "low energy" claim on the other.
But hey, leave to it a 70-year-old man who consistently demonstrates questionable judgment to sound the alarm bells about the health of a 68-year-old woman.
