Trump held a major "press conference" today at his new D.C. hotel. Promising he would address the birther issue, the press showed up in full force to capture this breaking story. After years of pushing the racist birther narrative, it was expected that Trump was either going to double down on his racism or own up and perhaps even apologize for pushing a racist narrative against our first Black President.
Except he didn't. The press got rickrolled. Trump used the event to parade some Vets on stage to endorse him and spent only the last 33 seconds to make his statement on birtherism in which he blamed Hillary Clinton for starting the birther movement, a statement that has long been debunked. Trump did slip in that "Barack Obama was born in the U.S." but refused any questions on it.
Instead, he closed the presser and initiated the tour of his new luxury hotel. The press was furious! "We're not here to make an infomercial about one of Trump's buildings," a CNN pundit stated while standing in the opulent foyer of the five star hotel that most Trump supporters could not afford even a one night stay at.
The media then pulled their cameras from the tour and decided not to show the tour after one reporter was physically restrained. Trump staff quickly erased the hotel video.
“We all got rickrolled!”

The Birther Presser Open House looked like something right off of the reality show, "Million Dollar Listing" where realtors compete to hold attention catching Open Houses to peddle their multi-million dollar luxury condos. Staging Open Houses with live props: models, dancers, clowns, and other entertainers, realtors hope to get the attention of the local press, some of the best coverage available. Only this time the props were Vets. And the national press corps was present. What better advertising! Free press coverage!
Trump would be the most conflicted President in U.S. history.
Using the press and a Presidential campaign which is funded by donors to hold a televised Open House for a new real estate project demonstrates yet again that Trump's number one priority is his personal bank account. First and foremost, Trump is about maximizing profits for his real estate deals and shoddy products.
Clearly, this is how a Trump Presidency would be run: all about Trump's bottom line. This is precisely why Trump has come under increasing pressure to release his tax returns.
With new reports out on the Trump Organization that shows Trump’s deep ties to foreign entities and criminals as well as the recent NY Attorney General’s investigation of the Trump Foundation, many questions are being raised with regards to potential conflicts of interest. In fact, it’s being said that, “Trump would be the most conflicted President in history.”
Even Trump supporter, Paul Ryan stated in a recent press conference that he believes Trump should release his tax returns.

Will the press finally wake up to the fact that Trump has been rick rolling them throughout this campaign season?
