Two days ago a small note appeared in the daily newspaper (SF Chronicle). It was buried (of course) at the very end of another article on election propositions. But it deserves much wider publication.
The notice announced that veteran journalists have “become terrified” by the dangerously overlooked issue of the election which is apparent attempts by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin's to help Donald Trump become President of the United States.
As a result, a new website has been established, PutinTrump.org. The founder, Bill Buzenberg, former head of news for National Public Radio, and former chief of the Center for Public Integrity, said that there is evidence that Trump is in debt to Russian oligarchs. He added, “we don’t know how much because we can’t see his tax returns.” Russian hacking is also a great danger.
The notice also went on to say that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi had warned back in July, that the Russian hacking of the Democratic National Committee was an “electronic Watergate.”
Thank goodness for a new website devoted to documenting this sinister relationship between Trump and Putin. And certainly much more needs to be done to make it a BIG ISSUE in the election campaign. Americans need to be very scared---Reports of Russian or Chinese hacking of our big corporations has become an almost daily thing with the potential to put a damper on internet communications and our very financial institutions.
