After hinting last week that the press was going to be shuffled out of the White House, it appears that Trump has decided that the James Brady Briefing Room is not a suitable location for Melania's "glam" room. So instead, Trump will just pick a different press.
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump plans to select the media representatives who are given access to the presidential press briefing room, but will not move the room out of the White House, he said in interview with Fox News broadcast on Wednesday. …
"Look, I don't like tweeting. I have other things I could be doing. But I get very dishonest media, very dishonest press. And it's my only way that I can counteract," said the Republican president-elect.
The current seating chart for the James Brady Press Briefing Room isn’t exactly perfect. It gets the networks and the two largest news services into the front row. The second row starts stacking in newspapers … but do ABC, CBS, Fox, and AP really need a separate chair for their radio network? They could empty a seat at least so al Jazeera didn’t have to sit in the Sun-Times’ lap.
Not to worry. Trump is going to open up plenty of chairs. After all, there’s not even a space reserved for Breitbart, and that Washington Post spot looks like a fine place for Alex Jones.
"We have so many people that want to go in so we'll have to just have to pick the people to go into the room - I'm sure other people will be thrilled about that," he said. "But we offered a much larger room because we need a much larger room and we offered to do that, but they went crazy."
Crazy? Donald Trump knows crazy.
