The folks at Brave New Films have woven together the stories of 16 women who’ve accused Donald Trump of either sexual assault or highly inappropriate behavior, several of them noting they felt powerless in the situation. You can watch their harrowing stories of interacting with Donald Trump below.
Despite the numerous credible claims, the official White House position has been that all the female accusers are lying about their encounters, even though Donald Trump was recorded describing how he sexually assaults women, “grabbing them by the pussy,” a claim backed up by the women in the video. Today, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders didn’t back up previous claims that the women were lying, but when pressed, because these women are refusing to go away, she simply says she’s not going to respond to questions.
It’s not that easy. These women aren’t going away and we aren’t, either. You can’t force resignations in the House and the Senate for inappropriate sexual conduct and then leave Donald Trump sitting in the Oval Office after decades of despicable behavior and assault.
Three of the women joined Robert Greenwald of Brave New Films for a press conference today, which you can see in full here. Their stories deserve to be heard … again, including Jessica Leeds, who said Trump assaulted her on a plane while she was seated next to him and when she ran into him later in New York City, he referred to her as “that c*nt from the airplane.” Donald Trump should be investigated and/or resign over his treatment of women going back decades. We all deserve better.
