Rubio pulled out all the stops for the poor, as attested to by a soft Rubio article in the NYT. By golly, he wasn’t going to vote for the heinous Republican tax bill unless poor families received an extra $300-$400 a year from the clenched hand of Mitch McConnell.
Rubio won his tiny staged battle, drank the weak tea, got his sanctimonious mug media-plastered, and now can join Saint Collins and Saint Corker in voting yes to taking away health insurance from 13 million souls including hundreds of thousands of children, parents, and grandparents.
Grandstanding jerks.
